Because I really do need to get back to writing more often. My last experience with blogging was a good one (aside from the system itself), but I dropped it for two (other) reasons:
- It became a chore.
- deviantART took over.
However, I can't post everything to dA all the time, especially as I try to only post weekly there. Some days it's easier to pull up a blog and start mashing away. Some of my better pieces have been a part of that process :)
As for the other reason, that likely had to do with the fact that I had committed to a daily routine and life is not interesting enough and I'm not a good enough writer to have something worth talking about every day. I'm aiming slightly more reasonable this time around with a goal of two or three posts a week, more if necessary. I think that flexibility will go a long way to making blogging more enjoyable for me this time around.
The hardest part about a blog though is coming up with a name XD I'm fond of this one though - it combines two of my favorite things; autumn, and my current favorite word, brontide.
Seriously, I'm in love with that word <3 It means "the low rumbling of distant thunder." I can't think of a more perfect word for what it is - the texture matches the meaning so wonderfully, doesn't it?
